Where I come from

I grew up in Germany, in a family where there was always a business around. Shops, customers and long days were just normal.

Growing up around the family business is where we realised how important social media is. Hardly anyone finds a place by walking past anymore, they find it on their phone first, and what they see there decides whether they come in. Working in cafes and bars showed the same thing from the other side of the counter.

That stuck. A great place can stay invisible if nobody sees it online.

How I ended up in Nelson

After a bit of travelling, I ended up in Nelson and fell in love with the nature: the sun, the mountains and the sea. It's a place where you can be on a trail or at a beach within a few minutes.

Outside of work I like to exercise and get outdoors, hiking whenever I can, and I travel whenever I get the chance. Nelson also has plenty of local cafes, shops and makers, which is exactly the kind of business I like working with.
